Well, I'm off to compete for the title of Miss California's Outstanding Teen tomorrow! :) In preparing for the competition, I haven't had much time to myself, or time to update my blog (obviously). However, after this week of competition, I should be right back on track with posts! I will also have my Saving Stephanie facebook page full of updates on events, information, etc., when I get back. I am excited for the week of competition ahead of me, and my possible year-long reign if I am crowned, which will allow me to promote my organization so much more than I already have. After I return home, more Saving Stephanie events will be held, and I will continue to work towards increasing my community's awareness of sexual assault.

Teal Ribbon Project with Local Law Enforcement

The Teal Ribbon Project has been such a success so far. It was an incredible honor to meet the dedicated officers at the Ripon and Manteca Police Departments.  Thank you to everyone for your continuous support, with a special thanks to Dawson Phan for taking our pictures! :)  I also look forward to working with the Tracy Police Department on Monday!

My Hope

Sexual assault is a very sensitive subject for almost everyone.  This problem leads to silence, shame, misconceptions, and sometimes even apathy.

My hope for this blog is to bring light to many of the resources that are out there for survivors and to provide factual information for everyone.
